Hey mama.

so this week was way busy. It was transfers on wednesday, and we just
had a ton of appointments. crazy week. We have 4 with a baptisimal
date, reed spence, vianne tamatasi, and vasaline pakiu and her son.
the little girl that looks like brie is her daughter. they are
awesome, it has taken for ever to get her with a date though so im
excited. they are all for january 14th so that will be a good day. We
have been teaching like crazy. I guess the christmas spirit really
opens up peoples heart because they let us right in, My comp is even
really motivated. He said that this has never happend to him so all
the prayers are working out. He doesnt even slack off anymore and just
sit down haha. Its been way good.

We both spoke in church yesterday, our topic was the scriptures. i
couldnt think of a topic more broad than that but it went well. Other
than the fact that my companion spoke for 7 minutes. We only had one
youth speaker who spoke for 3 and then i had about 25 minutes to talk
haha. Good thing i have gotten way good at winging it and people kept
coming up telling me i gave a great talk and then our dinner calender
was full. Our bishop got up after i spoke and just told our ward that
he was so grateful for us and it will be hard for him when we get
transferred so i feel like this ward has come full circle for me. Its
no pukalani but its still good to be in.

the 12 days are going good. my whole district takes turns doing it
every night. Since they live in a 3 story apartment building its hard
because they live on the 2 level and everyone here has tons of windows
so its hard to sneak in. But so far so good. We crawl on the floor to
the door and the door is always open so we just drop it inside on the
carpet. They have a gate up so the little kids cant run out. its
funny. I will record it one night and send it to you so you can see.

the pictures are good. i have more but the halls had to go so i
couldnt send more but the one where elder grover and i were looking at
the wall with the wires was an old abandoned army bunker on a hike we
went on. it was way cool. i like stuff like that haha and the high
rise was KPT that i have told you about. They are trying to make it
nice and not so ghetto but i found out that once a ghetto always a
ghetto. its the people that make it nasty. if they want to improve
send the micronesians back to micronesia haha. but yeah thats where
the cat pic came from to. The rock picture is elder grover and i again
and anytime you see a black missionary its chancy wilson. I knew him
back home. He is from bountiful. he went to elementary with tim jones
so thats funny. we hung out a lot in high school. he has been out for
like 3 months now.

so yeah my week was crazy but not as bad as yours sounds like... tell
the mole to keep her foot away from the gas pedal haha. oh yeah we
dont have a car again..... oh well

love you all

Hey everyone,

Yep im staying one more transfer. Me and my comp so thats ok. Im glad
ill stay one more for christmas and stuff. That will be good. This
last week was good. We got some new investagators and committed the
one we tracted into for baptism the first lesson for the 31st. He told
us his daughter was a member in makakilo and was wondering what all
the fuss was about. It was a way good lesson. First lesson my comp
actually taught with me as well so that was good. He did a good job.
Our christmas party was fun. It was like a huge luau with hawaiian
food. It was actually the first time i tried poi and its really
actually good haha. Remember that baby food called like blueberry
buckle or whatever? It tastes like that but i little bit sour. I
actually liked it though haha.

We also had zone conference this week. It was way good. Its always
good to see president and sister dalton and be spiritully uplifted for
a little bit. We watched 17 miracles and just kinda had a relaxed day.
it was good. They gave us our christmas presents of blankets with our
mission motto on it so watch for that in the mail. Its way cool but i
dont have room for it so im sending it home.

That date story with mal sounds hilarious. I would have loved to see
that. Sorry your sick though mal. Thats no fun. Its even worse when
your away from home so at least the front runner was moving quick
hahahahahaha.

They told me they would send that nativity mama so im sorry. Ill call
today and find out what happend to it. sorry. and yes im going
shopping with elder grover today. that will be fun.

k well love you all.

thanks for everything

DECEMBER 5, 2011

Hey everyone,

Yeah i watched the Devotional last night..... Why did i never know
those existed haha. It was way cool though and i liked it. President
Monson made me want to read those books he talked about and reminded
me that i need to keep working my butt off so im not in some shack in
the middle of some field. It was cool. This last week was good. Once
again we climbed back up to get the highest numbers in the zone. We
kinda took a break i guess you could say but were back now. We got 4
new investagators and taught a ton of lessons. it was a good week. I
got to go on exchange with elder grover. It reminded me of exchanges
with elder davies and it was so fun. Most fun i have had in a while
and we worked like crazy. I wish we were companions because the day
flew by but ill have to wait for a little bit for that to happen.
Transfer calls are this next sunday, so we will see. I already know
but something could change this week. I want to stay one more but
whatever happens happens. I have learned to just go with the flow out
here now.

That sounds way fun having to clean up all that stuff. What i would
have given to be doing some huge redneck service project. Hopefully
that will happen when i get back home haha. Its to bad that kaches
school wasnt closed, sorry you have to sub all week. that doesnt sound
fun at all but it is some extra money. Thats always fun.

So yeah everything is all good here. Pearl harbor service was fun. We
cleaned rust and repainted some huge thing on the USS missouri. Then
we got to go explore for a little while. Its a way cool ship. I had no
idea that the japanease surrendered on the deck of it. It makes it
that much cooler. The 70th anniversary is on wednesday. I think we
might get to go but its sorta up in the air. We will see.

alright well i love you all. thanks for everything.

tell everyone mele kelikimaka

haha i miss christmas vacation.

Hey everyone,

Yeah this week was good. Thanksgiving was way fun. We went to sam
sneads tavern. Its the millitary golf course resturant which is way
nice. it was good to get some howlee food again haha. they were still
serving rice though which i thought was funny. It was the very first
think in the buffet line so i skipped it. It was a non pross day
though so it went kinda slow because were always so busy we had no
idea what to do for the rest of the day so we just kinda hung out and
i slept on a couch for a while haha. Lots of people gave us all there
left overs as well so we took them to KPT and gave them to the
chuukese people so they didnt have to eat bread fruit and rice and it
made them way happy. Thats where those pics come from with all the
little kids. it was a good day.

So ya only one more thanksgiving. Thats weird kinda. I wasnt even
homesick though so its all good. That little girl never came to church
so i have no idea what to do with her. Her mom says that she cant wake
them up in the morning which made me think of when you guys would just
come into my roomand flip the light on. I think she needs some parent
lessons from either you guys or the samoan families. they just slap
everyone so the kids are very good haha. Things are the same with
finding people to teach. We can teach alot but they are all super
uncommitted so it sucks. Thats the part i hate is how lazy everyone
is. They just tell you what you wanna hear and you come back and they
"forgot" to do what we committed them to do. Oh well though. Some day.

Zone conference is the last week of the transfer, so like 2 weeks. Im
excited for that those are always good.

So ya thanks for everything. you guys are the best. i am for sure
greatful for all of you. Tell dad sorry about the money but when no
one was feeding us i kept having to buy food... I will do better this
month.

K love you all

Hey everyone,

So yeah this week was pretty good. We got a lot done and our ward is
kinda working with us now. We have dinner appointments every night
this week, and we got a new bishop who is way cool. So im excited
about that. He is way young to, like 33 or something so thats kinda
weird.

That little girl never came to church yesterday so once again were
going to have to postpone it. Oh well could be worse haha. We are
trying to find more solid people though. We can teach millions of
people but none of them will commit to anything so it sucks. So right
now we are just going to work with the part members and less actives.
We started that on friday and its always funny to see the excuses of
why people are not coming to church. One lady told us she found out
the catholic church was true by reading the bible and praying about it
so she converted. It was funny haha. Its hard to know what to say most
times without sounding sarcastic.

It is weird its thanksgiving. It doesnt seem like it at all. The
weather hasnt changed here once since i got here. It rains a little
everyday and its like 83 degrees. So you guys can go have a wonderful
chilly holiday season. is everyone going to our house? i cant remember
what you told me.....

k well here are my 5 things.. in no specific order just the way they come to me.

1. Being on a mission.
2. Family support, lots dont have it.
3. The gospel. Yeah i never thought i would say that one either.
4. The ability to gain a testimony.
5. American food with no rice.

Tell whatever you want to whoever you want haha.

k well thats about it for this week. my garment size is 32 or 34
whatever you want. i figure they will fit either way... and my top is
large. oh and dad if you could send me some of those wing tipped shoes
that you showed me for christmas i would love it. my shoes have about
had it out here..... in rockports they are size 9 and a half so just
something to think about.

love you all and thanks

Monday November 14, 2011
Hey everyone,

Yeah this last week was pretty good. it flew by. I cant believe its
over already.... Still not that much going on though, just the same
old same. Except Tomasa, that lady we baptized like two mondays ago
just disapeared to chuke this last week and we have no idea where she
is haha. So yeah that sucks. oh well. everything else is good. My comp
is doing good. He is really just fine. I think his last companions
just kinda let him do whatever and he got used to it but we have a
good routine going now so its all good. My arm is doing fine and im
just keeping going.

The wachters are doing ok but keep praying for them. Its getting
better slowly though. I think were going to have a fast for them soon
so i will let you know. We are going to have thanksgiving with them
and we are going to Hickam to some chief buffet thing so im excited
for that. It will be fun. We already eat with them like 4 times a week
but it will still be cool haha.

The roads here have been packed from apec being here and all the world
leaders so im excited for when that ends cuz traffic sucks. we were
late for church cuz i had no idea the freeway wouldnt be moving at
all.... Oh well

Well mal happy birthday. Finally 16. Matt Davies is filling in as
your big brother for a minute so dont think you can just date anyone
you want haha. He has good taste just like me... so watch out. Oh and
mom you gotta get 65 signs of the times by david j ridges. Im reading
it right now and its way good. you would like it so check it out.

NOVEMBER 7, 2011

Hey everyone,

Yeah this week was crazy haha. I got a new comp on wednesday named
Elder Kabunare, Ka-boo-nar-eee. is how you pernounce it. He is from
kittybus. which isnt really how you spell it but it sounds the same so
thats what i say. Its kinda by fiji i guess. I teach him english
everyday for an hour and guess what. Its way harder to teach someone
english even though i speak it everyday. I spent like 30 minutes
coming up with a definition for innumerable. He doesnt understand very
well haha.

So ya im working him to death. He is kinda lazy but its all good. I
just motivate him. IM sure if i was 300 pounds i wouldnt wanna go walk
around the ghetto either haha. He is good though he humbles me alot.
Just the other day we pulled up next to a homeless man. and he told me
to give him some money so i rolled the window down and he gave him 20
bucks. he comes from nothing and still gives all he has so he is a
good guy. i learn just as much from him as he does from me.

my arm is doing way good. it doesnt even hurt. its not swollen and i
think its getting way better. I will find out though at my next
appointment. which im not sure when that is so its a good thing.
thanks for all the prayers. Oh and the baptism went good i hear. i
couldnt make it but we are confirming her this next sunday. I heard
she just cried the whole time. Thats good haha

k well i need that face cream and also 65 signs of the times by david
j ridges if at all possible some day. maybe christmas haha. happy
birthday mom i hope you got my envelope and happy november haha.

not much else to say just im doing good and jsut pluggin along. love you all

Monday, October 24, 2011

Hey everyone,

Im good. This last week flew by. This is the last week of the transfer
and i cant believe it. At the begining i thought it would never end
haha but it has been the fastest transfer of my mission. Everything
went good this last week except our baptisms got pushed to this friday
because they couldnt get work off. So this friday at 9 am and 6 pm we
have baptisms for leah tina who is 9 and tomasa pakiu who is like 50
from chuke. You could say i can speak chukeese basically now. Easy. Im
glad you all liked the pictures. Yes my new place is
way nice. Just super hot. I was hoping heat waves would show up in the
pictures but i guess not...... Oh and the meeting went good. Kinda
scary but whatever. And elder whiting actually lives here dad so i
didnt ask about fruit heights but he could be still.

We got to go on hickam air force base this last week which was way
cool. Its huge and has everything. Its also the pearl harbor naval
base so its massive. There are huge ships in the harbor and planes
everywhere so its cool. We went and hung out with a member who is
chief of the naval dive squad and did work outs with them and stuff. I
cant join the millitary but it was fun haha. Tell richard and ryan and
rhett all good work and thanks cuz it isnt easy. Maybe one of them
will get sent over here on these bases. There is at least one of each
so i could see them eventually haha.

The only cool story about missionary work this week was some lady was
driving and turned around to come talk to us and said "i know you
probably dont hear this ever but can you come teach me?" and of course
we said yes so we have an appointment with her tomorrow and she came
to church already. I have no idea where she came from but she is nice
and just happens to live in our area. That was cool.

Not much else happend. After your here for a while everything just
rolls into one so sorry i dont have more to email about but that about
raps up my week haha. k well i love you all and yes thanks for the
packages and everything. Ill let you know what is happening next
monday for transfers. I dont even care anymore haha.

i can just go with the flow.

love you

elder allen

Monday, October 17, 2011

Hey everyone,

Yeah we had a baptism yesterday. I got to baptize him. It was that kid
named John Paul. He is way cool. We have two more this friday coming
up and then our last one that we have scheduled is next friday.
President called last night to tell us we were doing a "stellar" job
for having just whitewashed so im happy with everything that has
happend.

Things are going good. This last week was busy. I went on exchange
with elder woodfield, my zone leader and we had to go to tripler
hospital to visit people in our ward who needed blessings and some
permament hospital dwellers there. Its the huge pink one on the side
of the hill and it is probably the biggest hospital i have ever been
in. I was shocked. It was built in like the twenties and i think its
the one that paul sutherland says he goes to paint every year. It is
so big though. So that was kinda cool to go to. Its also a military
hospital so its nothing but military up there and so thats why the
inside is so cool.

Ya everything is going good though. Were working on getting more with
dates so we can continue our success into next transfer but im
starting to realize that even though people are way more humble here
they are not committed. they just tell you what you want to hear and
like it while we are there but we walk out the door and they are back
to there old habits, so we gotta sift out all the crap to get to the
people who actually are willing to live what they say they will. Thats
the only struggle we are having right now.

Well that and my companions arm came out of socket on saturday so we
had to go to an urgent care place, (which reminded me of when i got my
appendix out) and they shoved it back in. Apparently he needs surgery
on it though so that it stops happening but he would have to go home.
So pray that it will work its self out and he wont have to because i
dont think he would come back.

k well thats about all for this week. I hope you get that disc with
all the pictures on it soon. Im excited for you guys to see where were
living and stuff but until then just pretend haha...

k love you all

elder allen

Monday, October 10, 2011

hey guys,

this email might be kinda short because i forgot what we did this week
haha. It was just way busy and we talked to like 5000000000 people so
i dont even remember. The coolest part was pearl harbor. we got to go
do service there forever. We stripped off all the painted lines on the
port and then painted them again haha. It took forever but was funny
cuz i have done it a lot. So when we go back i can show you my hard
work at a national landmark.

After we finished that we went on a tour of the uss misouri and
everything else there it was way cool. I knew one day i would go there
i just never thought on my mission so it was cool. i kept expecting
to see someone i knew but it never happend. it was way fun though.

After service we went back home and we live with non members. He was
doing something with his car and i asked if he needed help. He said he
was changing his oil for the first time and didnt have a clue what he
was doing haha so while my comp showered i changed the oil in both of
his cars and it was hilarious. I hope i did it right or get
transferred soon so that i cant be blamed for destroying both of his
toyotas haha. so it was a good week.

We taught like 20 lessons and visited 21 part member less actives. it
was crazy. when we work like that though you dont even realize what is
going on and the day is over. its kinda cool. I finally understand
what everyone has been saying about missions going fast. I cant
believe that this transfer is more than half over. Interviews are next
week and its done. They say it goes faster than this after a year to
so im basically done i have decided haha.

k well i love you guys. you all sound like you are doing great. keep
up the good work..

Monday, October 3, 2011

hey mom,

yeah this week has been way better. I just had to adjust to the
craziness of this island for a minute but now that i have i really
love it. The days fly by because of how fast paced it is and we teach
all the time so its not slow like maui was ever. its kinda nice haha.
My comp is doing good. He is still learing a lot though so its a lot
up to me and i still feel like i know nothing but its all good. Were
doing good. Yeah we still have our baptisms scheduled and we got
another one yesterday... Some lady ran up to us when we were walking
through the ghetto and said her son wasnt baptized and asked if we
could do it. His name is John Paul haha. and he is 11 but thats cool.
We had the highest numbers in the zone. That felt good. Our zone is
way closer than maui because of how close we all live to each other so
yeah i see everyone all the time. i like that. so even though we live
in a 2 man its not really like that because someone is always over so
its cool. As district leader i dont do much else, just busy work.
report numbers for the district, do baptisimal interviews, and train
on tuesday my district, oh and on friday i get trained by the zls. its
cool i guess. just more work.

Yeah for conference we saw it all. We live with a non member and we
watched it in his house. That was cool and was way better than the
mtc. I liked conference a lot and felt like 99 percent of the talks
applied to me haha. The how to raise a daughter one sucked though
mom... lets get real i couldnt apply it. but yeah elder hollands talk
was way cool. My favorite quote from him now is "In this family, we
serve missions!" Im kinda scared of him honestly but he made me feel
proud to be a missonary. sometimes you forget and dont wanna do it but
it was good motivation.

Thanks for all the food. the reason we eat out so much is because to
get back to our pad is a freakin hike and a half and its not worth it
to take out 3 hours to get back so we eat out places. its good for
dinner though. we dont eat as much with members so thanks.... thanks
for everythign.

i love you guys and keep sending letters haha

k love elder allen

Monday, September 26, 2011

Hey everyone,

So yep, im in oahu now. This island is crazy i have decided. Its like
they took L.A. and moved it onto an island with tons of micronesians
and phillipeanos and samoans. Its nuts. We were standing in one of our
areas on saturday and i was looking around and i was the only white
person i could see. And there were a ton of people around haha.
Craziest thing i have ever seen. So ya maui is a better island haha.

But it is good. We whitewashed the area of Moanalua Valley and Fort
shafter, and the ghetto which is called KPT. Kohillo park terrace. And
we walk to all of them because we dont know the bus routes. Yes this
area is way more humbling than the last haha. I havent really felt
like missionary until now i have decided so its good in that aspect.
So yeah its good. My new comps name is Elder Toloa from samoa. Like
straight from samoa so thats cool. I am learning lots of samoan words
haha.

THis last week was probably like the hardest week of my life because i
was homesick for my two homes now. I cant see this turning into the
same feeling but who knows i will give it a shot. We have already
committed two people to baptism and we taught 15 lessons this week with
1 new investagator so this area is where we need to
be for some good solid work. If we can do that in 3 days imagine a
full week. Thats what president said he wanted was some good numbers
so i guess thats what we will give him.

Being district leader is stressful and i have my first training
tomorrow haha. Oh well how bad could it be huh? I mean the other
missionaries have all been out longer than me so they will understand
i havent ever done it before. So i can only get better at it i guess.
I need elder davies here to help me haha an no i dont think he knows.
I will tell him when he calls me.

One last thing that i though was funny, but not really is KPT is like
a huge high rise of low income apartments, built in like 1965 so they
are way old. they have stair cases that go all the way up 17 stories
and all the way up and crips hanging out in them. They just pee all
over the stairs so it reaks of urine and marijuana and every other
drug you can imagine. They call us jusus bruddahs though so i guess
that means were friends haha. But its so nasty. Elder toloa and i had
to run up 16 flights of them so we wouldnt be late for an appointment
and i thought i would throw up it smelled so bad but i only did a
little in my mouth haha. So nasty i will never bring you guys here.

k well thats about all for this week. Just gotta keep moving on and
not focus on my self.... Thanks for everything and im glad you gotta
meet matt. It sucks without him.....

K love you guys

Monday, September 19, 2011

hey everyone,

Yep finally im being transferred. Im flying out wednesday at 430 in
the morning. Im very ready to go but its kinda hard to say goodbye to
everyone, they have become like my family but oh well. So ya im flying
with elder davies to oahu. I knew thats where i was going to go. Im
excited for it and the difference of islands, plus i hear everything
there is a lot cheaper so that will be good. . So ya give her a call.

This last week went pretty good. T and cliff are so close to a
baptisimal date. I just started asking people all the questions i
wanted to ask before i knew i was leaving and it actually works very
good. I call it bold love haha but i was just trying to find out why
they wouldnt get baptized and it worked on t and cliff so hopefully we
can get them with a date tomorrow with our last appointment that i
have with them. That would make my first 6 months..... I called sister
buell last night after i found out i was leaving and she cried again
haha. I think she crys more than you mom... and thats saying something
(just kidding love you), its nice of her though. i truly will miss
everyone.

But by far the people that i have come to love the most are the fijian
people. On friday they had a kava party for me whcich is like a huge
traditional thing they do and sit around and drink this dirt water
from the root of a plant. They sit on grass mats all in a circle and
do all these ritual things. its way cool to see. But the chief of the
fijians here, (his real name is eric) sat down and we did some clap
thing and he gave me the first cup of kava, thats like a huge honor
and i was kinda scared because i thought he messsed up haha. they wont
even let white people sit with them usually and so to start off the
entire thing was pretty cool. Then they gifted me another tappa, but
smaller. Ill send that one home soon. It was way hard to tell them
goodbye. but ill be back to stay with them some day.

So ya it was a good week. It was cool that jeff called you last night.
He is a very less active guy but takes such good care of us. He only trusts me and elder

workman and he and his family took us to dinner on saturday for my 6 months.
it was cool and he is a way nice guy. I wish i would have met him a long time ago.
haha funny stuff.

But ya im doin good. Im excited for the next adventure and am looking
forward to it. I hope you guys are all doing good and i love you all.
your week sounded crazy to... haha

k love you.

Monday, September 12, 2011

Hey mama and family,

Things here are going good. Im pretty sad elder davies is going home
though. you gotta make it to his farewell. First priority haha. Its
going to be weird. He is all i know as a zone leader and is like my
best friend so it will be rough but whatever.. Everything there sounds
good. I got your package today, the shirts were a hit, the blanket was
way cool. seriously thanks for that and it was good to hear from you
guys. Send me a pic of mercs mouth now i would love to see it. I bet
its awesome.

It does sound like everyone is a bit stressed out there. Everything
will be alright. Remember your favorite saying mom, "its all good".
Nothing really is that bad. Grandma and grandpa dont sound like they
are doing to hot.... give them blessings haha. thats my only answer
for that one. Your calling sounds tough and stressful but there is a
reason your in it. Keep up the good work.

Nothing to exciting happened here at all this last week. All we had was
zone conference which was way cool. We were asked to write talks on
the docterine of christ and 2 missionaries would be called to give
them, guess what, of course i got called on. Elder williams the one i
came out with and me both had to do it. IT was easy and it went good
but still not very fun. Thanks pres for that one haha. It was a way
good conference though and i learned a lot. It is always fun to see
everyone though. I love president and sister dalton. they are the
best. Funny story that honestly killed me and elder davies was he was
talking to us on the side about how the zone is doing and stuff and
sister dalton came up and said they had to go so they didnt miss there
flight and he said ok and was walking off and smacked her butt, i was
shocked haha. it was so funny though. he turned around and said you
two didnt see that and laughed. it was funny haha but i forget he is
just a normal dude still.... so ya it was fun.

We are almost finished tiling, im pretty good at using the tile saw
now and really appreciate the tile dad did all those times because
quite honestly it sucks. i also have framed in two walls for his
bathroom so i need to write curt and tell him his class wasnt a
complete waste of time haha. Ill take a picture soon and send it so
you can see how big it is....

Well thats about all for this week. It was good but im ready to move
on i think. You start to realize that there is only so much you can do
when you start re visiting all the Partmember and less actives over
again haha. Well i love you and pray for you every night.

love elder allen
Hey guys,

Yeah things here are still going good. We just keep pressing forward
even though its kinda slow, Not much changes day to day so i cant
really tell you anything really exciting that happened but its all
good.

Zone conference is tomorrow so thats cool. Im excited for that and to see
president and everyone. Its kinda sad though. The realization of elder
davies going home has kinda hit. Its weird that i wont see him for
like 18 months. I Dont know what a mission will be like with out him
but oh well. Thats life i guess.

The tile and the house we have been working on is looking pretty good.
Were almost done and then are going to start working on his roof. That
will be fun i guess. Just something else i get to learn how to do so
im down with that. We only have like 2 weeks left in this transfer
though so i dont know how much we will get done.

Yesterday for p day was fun by the way. We did the whole tourist thing
down in kihei. We went to the lava fields, which are crazy and then
went and walked around with all the tourists. It was a weird feeling
because they all had no idea where they were or where they were going
and we did so it still wasnt like a vacation haha. Kinda fun though.
When we come here we will have to do the kihei walk. Other than that
nothing to exciting.

We did get two new investagators though last week. Both of them
refferals from the buells. They are not scared to share the gospel
with anyone so its cool to watch. Every person they introduced us to
they asked if we could come over and teach them so that was cool to
watch, plus it worked out very well. Our first appointment is this
friday. My goal is one more with a baptisimal date by the time i leave
so hopefully we can get it.

Well thats about all for this week. Things here are good and im doing
good. Yeah send the blue shirts and send them straight here so that
the mission home doesnt hold them for transfers but everything else
start sending through them....

K love you all

Hey guys,

Sounds like the typical maddness going on there but sounds fun. Kinda
wish i was there but its all good. Things here are all good as usual.
The only thing that sucks now is that elder davies is going home soon
and also that we still cant email in the family history center so this
whole library thing is awful. Oh well ill be transferred soon and will
not have to deal with it anymore.

So this last week has been way tiring. We have a new ward mission
leader as you know and he is moving into a huge house up on poli poli
road, kinda by oprah. But he is redoing like the floors and the walls
and everything and we have been helping. It has made me homesick for
real work haha and for once Kurts class in highschool payed off. I
probably should have payed more attention though... Its good that i
saw dad tile though all the times that he did cuz elder workman
and i hardybackered his entire upstairs floor which is probably the
size of our basement. It took forever but it was way fun. There just
happend to be country music on in the background as well so you could
say this last week has been way good haha. Oh and im sealcoating his
driveway this week with the home depot seal coat. i did that like twice
so that will be interesting. I shouldnt have warn my morgan shirt
haha. We have still been teaching a lot but no one is committed it
sucks. Oh well.

I sent a package home today with just stuff that i have picked up
since i have been here. We have zone conference here next week on the 7th so im

excited for that. THose are always fun and we get to see president again. That will be
good.

K well not much is going on here. Im ready to be out of here though
and start somthing new. THese days are flying by though and its weird
i have almost hit 6 months. Thanks for everything everyone...

K love you all and keep up all the good work.

Hey everyone,

Hows it going? it sounds like your all doing good. mom this is my only advice to you
about the young womens thing. Its how i used to feel about missions
until i just kinda bucked up haha. In fact i dont even know if this
will help but its my advice of the week. So a word i no longer have in
my vocabulary is inadequate. I used to feel like i couldnt do it
because i was inadequate. Which when i felt like that it was very
overwhelming and stressful so i got rid of that word, prayed hard and
discovered that if you do your very best the lord just fills in
everything else. I know im sounding like the corny missionary i used
to make fun of and I said I would never be one, but I also found that
its easier for people to understand if I went through the same thing
so this is why I share my story of when the word inadequate was
destroyed from my head haha.

Ok so there is my advice for the week. Take it or leave it but i hope
it helps and of course i will be praying. I do it anyways.

i am sending the package either tomorrow or wednesday, we will have to
see how everything works out but it will be this week. And yes i got
the packages, thanks so much. it was awesome.

Last week was crazy by the way. Elder workman, the greenie from cali
had an apendicitus, so i knew exactly how that felt. He has become one
of my way good friends as well. Im glad im with him for like my whole
mission haha. So he was in the hospital for 2 days and then stayed at
a members house so that was kinda weird. Elder pincock came with us
the whole week. he is back now and seems good as new. he is a tough
kid. Were struggiling right now to find some committed investagators
though which blows. We teach a lot and people love us but they want
nothing to do with commitment. Pray for that to get better. we taught
18 lessons and no one is willing to be baptized. That needs to change
haha. Our samoan ward mission leader was released on sunday and we got
a new howlie guy who is way cool brother brantley. He lived in isreal
and is the reason brother buell got baptized. He will be great at it
and im excited to start working with him.

One crazy story from this week was we tracted into a bounty hunter
that is hiding in the hills of kula with his family. He is from
Kaysville. ya blew my mind to haha. he knows the broughs and all these
people and its weird to talk to him. He is a member but super less
active because of his opinions but we had a good chat with him and
then he said to go get in his hummer so we did ( partly because we
were scared he was going to murder us) and he drove us up some
mountain to see the view haha. It was scary but he is super loaded and
has tons of cash, He is taking us on a helicoptor tour next week and
so im excited for that. Im glad we met him but still scared. He told
us his name was jff. Yeah im not sure what that means but I assume its
jeff. He even spelled it that way on our phone. Its so weird but he is
nice and im glad he likes mormon missionaries haha.

Alright well thats about how my week went pretty good. Hope everyones
school was good. Glad to get going again i hope..... love you all

elder allen...

Monday, August 15, 2011

Hey everyone,

Yeah everything here is goin good. This last week went by pretty
quick. The new missionaries came in. Elder williams that I knew from the mtc came
into our zone, so im stoked about that. He was way cool. It was almost like
seeing a long lost brother and i only knew him for 3 weeks. its
weird that way. But yeah its going good.
We're just working on the ward list here to reactivate people in our
ward. There are so many people that are members that dont come so
bishop asked us to work on that. We started yesterday. Most of them
just tell us that they want nothing to do with it and will come back
when they are ready, but they know its true haha. So weird.
We both spoke in church yesterday. They just asked us when the
speakers didnt show up. Its a good thing im doing better at winging it now
so it wasn't bad. It was on prayer and everyone thought we
prepared something. I like that im getting better at that now haha. Its a good
feeling.
Do you remember Lori and Tyler i told you about? Well they asked me to
perform the marriage of lori and her boyfriend so thats cool haha. I think it will be in
2 weeks. I didnt know we had the authority to do that but im good with
it. That will be cool because then they can be baptized and Tyler will
probably follow her example. So im stoked about that. Ill keep you
updated.
Look in past church newspapers by the way because a member of our ward was
called as the kona temple president. I know him way good its Boyd
Mossman. He is a way cool guy so thats a sweet calling. He is going to
be way good at it so try and find his picture in the church news.
Hey could you send me some face cream as well in the next package. I
need some im out and occasionaly i get zits still. Ok well thats about
all but I love you guys. have fun at school next week HAHAHAHAHAHA

Baptism of the Buelle family
Saturday August 6, 2011
Kula Hawaii

Kole, the Buelle family, and Elder Savage
Hey guys,

Yeeeeeppp so im gonna be here for 6 more weeks. That will be my 6
months and ill make it to Elder Davies final transfer meeting. That
will be cool so im excited about this. 6 more weeks and we should have
at least two more baptisms. My goal is one a month so if you count all
the ones i have done now im one ahead so thats cool. Im excited to be
here one more espescially with everyone still here with me.

This last weekend was awesome. We had a tongan mini missionary again
and it was the Buells baptism. It was way cool. I got to baptize all 4
of them and elder savage and i both gave talks and our whole ward
was there to support them. I promised myself I wouldnt cry after my farewell but it happened again  so that sucks haha. It was way cool. I only had to do the
little girl twice because she got scared in the freezing water when i
dunked her so it was funny haha. So yes they all got confirmed
yesterday in church and it was cool. They are full on members of the church now
and they love it. You should have heared brother buells talk. it was
so good i was blown away haha. right after they were baptized he did
it so it was way cool. Good experience. so ya this was the coolest baptism ever haha. im kinda sad its over
but its all good.

Nothin else really cool happned this week. We taught 21 lessons and
got 104 o.y.m.s so thats good. Pretty successful week. So ya were just
hangin out up country today so i gotta go but i love you guys and ill
be back on later. love you all

Dannys baptism from Sat. July 31!

Swinging Bridges hike in Wiluku!

Hey everyone,

Sorry it took me so long to get on today. We went on a way cool hike
called swinging bridges in Wiluku. Its like some huge trail and you go
over bridges over rivers and stuff and yes they swing so i dont think
you would enjoy it much mom but it is way cool. So ya we just got back
and im just reading everything. It all sounds good there though. Just
one day at a time right?

Well this last week was pretty good actually. We baptized danny on
Saturday. Elder Savage Baptized him and i confirmed him yesterday.
That was kinda scary but not to bad. I am over the scariness of all
these ordinance things and actually enjoy doing them now so thats more
fun for me. He actually moved back to utah today so we just did it
yesterday. There were to many bad influences on him here so he needed
to go back to family. If your ever in milford look him up haha. I have
his number.

Yes the Buells are still planning on baptism this saturday i think.
They have been in Oahu for the last month almost so i havent seen them
for a while but i call them weekly to make sure they're ok. Its going
way good with them.

An investigator who came to dannys baptism named patricia told me
while they were getting changed that she wanted to be baptized as
well. We have been working with her forever and so that was cool. I
tracted into her back in april so its good to see it finally come to
an end. We have committed her at like every lesson and all it took was
for her to see one. She even came to church for the first time
yesterday so thats cool. Gotta just dunk everyone

Transfers are this next sunday. Im staying another transfer i think.
Elder davies worked way hard to get me to stay with him for his last
one haha. Im hoping thats how it turns out because then i would fly to
oahu with him and be at his last transfer meeting. It would be way
cool. Im almost ready to get out of this area though. Time for change
i think. 6 more weeks is fine. This one has flown by. i really cant
believe it.

So ya everything is all good. Ill send pics in a minute i have some
good ones. K love you all. Watch for the
wunders to call. They are the best

Hey everyone,

Everything there sounds like its going good. It all sounds fun and i
wish i could be there but its weird that i will only miss one more
summer and im home for the next. Mission time is so weird man. I just
got the package. Thanks so much for everything those books help me out
so much and im excited to start on a marvelous work and a wonder. Tell
becky and her family thanks for the package and its awesome. You could
say that i was making everyone jealous here big time haha.

So ya this last week was good. Lots of weird things happend actually.
Ill just share a few of them i guess. When i get home we can have
story time every night because i am getting a lot of them now haha. So
the weirdest one was on thursday. Elder Pincock and i were on exchange
in my area and were just visiting some potential investagators, i
remebered that we had tracted into a guy in Pukalani though that
invited us back to learn more about Joe Smith as he called him. So i
was excited to go teach this guy whats up and so we got there, got out
of the car and i was half way up his stairs when he just came out
yelling and swearing and saying that we scared his mom so we needed to
leave. This happens like everyday though so i wasnt worried about it
and turned around and said see ya man and then the next thing i knew i
was flying down the stairs because he just punched me in the back of
the head. So i was way confused and didnt know what was going on but i
saw pincock chasing him back up the stairs going after him so i
figured he went after him to so i went up to get him and we were
running back to the car and he came flying down and spit in pincocks
face and ran off. He was crazy you could say and we could have
destroyed him but i didnt want to get Emergency transferred and for a
second i felt as jesus did so thats a cool feeling. But ya im ok that
guy was weak. YOu all know how tough i am haha.

THe next weird thing that happened was we were helping a less active
lady in the ward with her yard because her husband just died and she
invited us to the funeral which was at her house. So when she said
that i just assumed that we would attend it but when we got there we
were shocked to find out that we were basically running it and had to
talk the whole time so yes i have now been in charge of leading a
funeral and even gave the closing remarks. That was fun haha. They had
a bagpiper and the national guard come and they all waited for me to
turn the time over to them. It was the weirdest thing ever. Im glad
its over for sure.

Thats about all that happened this last week. Thanks for everything
though you guys are the best. Time is going quick. I cant believe it.
Keep up the good work and let me know if you need anything.

Love you

Elder ALlen

Monday, July 11, 2011

Hey everyone,

Yeah things here are good. We got a lot of work done this week and
taught a lot of people actually. No one really is close to baptism but
its all going good. The Buells are still on for August 6th. Vick (the
dad) actually called me yesterday to see if he could speak at his own
baptism so thats sick. I was very happy when he called. He even bought
a white shirt and tie and wore it to church. It really is amazing to
see people start changing.

My comp is good haha. We get along pretty good and he usually just
vents to me so i feel like im a girl sometimes but if he needs it i
guess i will listen. Its all good. His name is Elder Savage from
Vegas. He is cool just different. He loves star wars and i can see how
someone would want to beat him up but it still shouldnt have happend.
His last comp wasnt sent home because actually Elder Savage started it
haha so yeah my comp is crazy. Oh well i have learned more about my
patriarticle blessing in the last two weeks than i have the whole time
i have had it so thats good.

The other new missionary is doing good. I took him on exchange this
last week and he told me like his whole life. He had his aunt and
uncle die the last week he was in the MTC and his best friend died
last saturday. Thats gotta suck so we just stayed busy and i helped
him get through his fear of tracting, He was terrified. He would shake
at the doors talking to people so i helped him with that because
pincock isnt that much better haha and thats all i feel like i can do
so ya it was good to go with him. He is a cool guy just under a lot of
stress. Total redneck and i like him.

Yeah i remember chase norton. Thats way cool that he did his talk on
that i wish i could have heard it. He is way cool.

Thats awesome about derek, Tell him good work and to keep pressing
forward. Life only gets better haha.

The jeep also sounds sweet. You guys keep saying your going to send me
pics but i never see any, Will you commit to me to send me some
pictures for heavens sakes?

By the way those books you sent are amazing and i love them. I decided
though that i dont need the old testament ones but if you could get me
the book of mormon ones, D&C, Peal of great price, and send me the
isiah one we had i would be in heaven. Just take money out of my
account and go buy them all. I NEED THEM. Oh and see if they have the
ammon tie bar. Elder Katanuma has it and its so sweet so yeah. Thanks
for the last ones though they are cool. No one has the Angel moroni so
its coveted here you could say.

4th of july was awesome we had Brother Akeo come to Pulehu and grill
for us and then the Buells came and 10 missionaries and we had a
barbeque and played football and stuff, and then all the missionaries
slept at our house. I had to share a bed with elder davies which
sucked but i slept suprisingly well. IT was way fun to get everyone
together like that and just relax. Thats why i didnt send letters so
sorry guys.

This week tracting was hilarious, Elder Davies and i went on exchanges
and had a dog chase us through the neighboor hood, had some guy yell
at us and almost shoot us with a staple gun, had another guy yell that
he didnt want to wear my underwear, which i responded i dont want to
give my underwear to you i need them to him. It was the funniest week
ever tracting. We also caught a guy doing drugs who almost killed us.
Great fun haha.

Finally the worst story of the week, Which im not sure if you should
put in the blog or not. Im actually debating sending this home even
but i will because i have never been so scared in my life. So im not
sure if you guys have heared about the like spiritual things that
missionaries go through on there missions, not like good spiritual
things but bad evil things. I had heared them but i never believed it
until friday night. In fact we were even warned multiple times by
president and other missionaries that it happens a lot but i was like
whatever. Apparently hawaii is very spirtual and i happens here more
than most missions so thats so wonderful. But anyway on thursday night
Elder davies came and slept over for our exchange the next day and
savage went to wiluku. We woke up the next morning and davies told me
how aful he slept and he kept hearing sprinklers hitting the house and
he was sweating all night long and i was just like that sucks dude
sorry and didnt think of it. So that night after he went back downt to
town i went to see if we had sprinklers hitting the house but we dont
even have sprinklers in the yard. Hawaii doesnt have them because of
the rain we get so i was like what a weirdo haha. K thats the lead
into the next part. SO we went to bed again and none of us could sleep
so we just talked for a while until i drifted off and i woke up at
like 3 am to my companion screaming and so did elder workman the new
one, so i was tripping out about what was happening. but he just layed
back down so i layed down to but 5 minutes later he sat up again and
started talking and clicking his toungue and stuff and i was freaking
out. he would like get up on his knees and yell and stuff click and
then every ten minutes would lay back down until he did it agian so
needless to say none of slept because we were all terrified. It didnt
feel right and i couldnt wake him up so we just watched for 3 hours as
he did that all night, so the next morning we called president and
told him like he said and he told us what we needed to do so we
rededicated our pad, the chapel and the grounds its on, then gave
savage a blessing and cleaned our place like crazy and its been fine
since but its like the 7th time it has happend where we live
apparently so im still scared but whatever. Gotta trust in the
priesthood elder davies told me haha

So ya i dont mean to scare you guys but thats how my week was haha.
Tell dad to dedicate the house if it hasnt been done. It was amazing
to feel the difference when i blessed it and dedicated it to the lord
again. It was night and day difference.

Ya i love you all. Dont be scared of that part just know it for sure
does happen haha. Keep up the good work
Love you

Kole and the Maui Zone at Zone Conference
Cooking pig underground with Fijians!

Hey everyone,
So this last week has been crazy. It was really slow and that kinda sucks. Everyone is gone or just not wanting to hear from us so it was a discouraging week. We did have some highlights though that made it more fun. The Buelles are still not back from vegas. Only Vick the dad is so im not sure where the rest of them are. We will go check tonight but as of yesterday they werent home yet so i hope the baptism is still on. We will see.
So yeah i forgot to mention the volleyball tournament this last week. The stake had a huge one and all the wards were invited. Even the ward from Mololai came over on the ferri so it was huge. They had the tongan wards and the Palangi wards and everything. So we went the first night, it was thursday thinking it was just going to be a joke for fun thing and its like dead serious. There were like 500 people there all cheering and yelling and watching the teams play haha. It was for sure the biggest stage i have ever played anything on but it was way fun. We made it to the finals but lost to the Tongan Kahului team. Tongans are way good at volleyball apparently.
So yeah the fun night we had this last week was in haiku at that guys house named chief. He is the other fijian. I dont know if you guys have heard anything about it but there are all these canoe things going from fiji to new zealand all the way to here and from here to the main land. Its like a huge journey and they wont even be back in fiji until next june. The website is www.pacificvoyages.org so look it up i hear its cool. But anyway they made it to maui on like tuesday night so Chief called and invited us to his house because he was having them all come over for a party. So we went and it was way cool. They cooked the pig and chickens underground in the ulu, and they sang fijian songs for ever and it was just some huge cultural party with like 55 fijians. And we got taught a lesson by a fijian pastor which was weird but interesting. It was way cool though. I will send pics home of it all but i loved it. Those guys are crazy. I would never row a canoe across that much water. But whatever Missions are way easier than that haha
Oh one more cool experience. Apparently Oprah has a house in my area and i found out where it was and tried to go tract to it but got stopped by some lady driving up it who said she is jehovhas witness so i didnt see Oprah. But a member in our ward says she wont be here until july so ill go try again then. Look up her house i was like 500 yards from it. Type in like Oprahs house in Kula Maui. ITs a cool house and im probably going to baptize her haha.
Ya not much else happend. We got our transfer calls last night which are way stressful and i hate them but im still gonna be here for at least 6 more weeks. Elder Davies said he is keeping me here until he goes home so if thats the case i will be here for 3 more months, Im ok with that i guess. I will just be easy going even if that doesnt happen.
Everything home sounds good and i wanna see pics of the chicken coop and of the cars dad. Send them to me, it takes like 3 minutes haha.
K well i love you all. Thanks for everything
Aloha

JUNE 20, 2011

Hey guys.

Yeah things here are good. This last week was slow. Once summer hits everyone just seems to have left. Its kinda weird everything is way slow and relaxed. it kinda sucks actually. Elder Tiakia said thats why Oahu is better because its not like the true island life so for missionary work its better. I wouldnt know though and apparently the other islands are worse than this so who knows.....

We have a new investagator though who is in a wheelchair, im not quite sure on how to baptize her but i guess if she makes it that far we will figure something out. Her name is Ellen and we taught her the restoration and she believed everything we said but she doesnt want to leave her church because she likes the people in it. Confusing but yeah she said that. We went tracting a bunch and i went on exchange with Elder Tiakia twice this week so my comp could go do a baptisimal interview with the other missionaries. We ate at this tongan guys house on saturday night and it was way good corn beef and rice and all this stuff called lou pulu but it made me super sick. I was up all night throwing up. I think it was because of how greasy it all was and it was like 7 gallons of oil sitting in my stomach. Kinda gross but what can you do. We went and visited That guy in the hospital again and he wanted another blessing so i gave him one. I used to be terrified of them but we give like 2 a week now so i like them. This lady in our ward is pregnant and she called for a blessing also last week. I enjoy them but wonder why the fathers or husbands dont give them. Its weird. They will stand in a circle with us but wont do the blessing. I dont understand that.

I also forgot to tell you guys that at zone conference they gave out prizes for things like the cleanest pads, cleanest cars, blah blah blah and we won cleanest car and got some cool certificate and some armour all wipes. I thought you would be proud of that one dad.

Fathers day was fun, Brother Kapisi the Samoan one who is our ward mission leader came to Pulehu and grilled us and his family chicken and steak and stuff so it was way fun. We just sat out there and played the Uke for a while and sang and ate. Plus we got invited to a fijian party in Haiku. Its probably the coolest place i have been so far. ITs a black beach with weird sand and he is a professional spear fisherman named chief. His house is like on the beach in the wilderness by no one else. Its so sweet. ITs one of foleys friends and i hope we can teach him soon so ya it was a fun party. Fijians are funny.

Oh and yeah the buells are in vegas. Pray they dont do anything that that place has to offer except rollar coasters.

Thats about all that happend this week for me. Have fun at efy and everything. Tell dad to email me pics of the car cuz i still havent seen them. love you all

Ward Camp out!

Kole at Kona Temple

P-Day!

Hey Guys,
Yeah this last week was pretty busy. Im pretty beat haha. Sounds like everything in Colorado went well. Im glad for that. When I would be driving to appointments i was kinda wishing i was there but its all good no worries. I should probably be here i guess haha. Thats good about the reception and the farewell and everything. I bet it was fun. Thats weird that Rob and i spoke in church on the same day. What are the chances of that. My talk went way good actually. I wrote it about 1 hour  before i gave it and felt way better about it than even my farewell. I had to talk for like 20 minutes but it was way easier than i thought it would be. Speaking is easy i have decided. I talked on righteous judgements. Ill send you a copy in case you need to speak on it haha.
This last week went way good actually. The Buells have a date for July 3rd and they are super solid. No chance they will back out. They are more motivated than sometimes i feel i think. No one else is even as close as them so its gonna suck when were done with them haha.
We dropped ian and ryan. They were not the "elect at the moment" haha. Thats what we say when they go nowhere so ya im not worried about them.
So we had a cool story with the Buells, The dad was having issues believing everything we were telling him and he wanted proof from the bible. So we have this guy in our ward that lived in like the middle east and stuff who knows the bible like crazy and we took him to a lesson with vick. He basically taught the whole thing and we left thinking it went good. The next day he woke up and said everything we were teaching was true and they needed to baptized so ya thats cool. Definite miracle there.
Also this last week we had Zone Conference which was way fun. I can see why everyone likes them. It was an all day thing and we were there with president and his wife and everyone so it was cool. President volunteered me to lead the music but i had no idea how so sister dalton just guided my hand all the way through called to serve haha and now president calls me the " Mormon Tabernacle Quoir" Chorister. Its funny. Gay reputation but i guess ill take it. We got to know each other way better because he sat by me at lunch and he has some awesome cars. Ferrarris and Bentlys. He is so loaded so we will go visit his garage one day dad haha.
On thursday i went on exchanges again with the ZL's. Elder Davies is like my best friend in the mission i would say. You gotta go to his homecoming in september and talk to him. Probably the best missionary i have ever taught with. He is awesome so that was a ton of fun. Im glad i got to go do that. So ya thats all that happened this last week. It was fun. I enjoyed it a lot. Sorry no new pics but yeah thats about all.
Love you all and im glad you had fun in colorado. Ill talk to you guys soon

Hey everyone,
Yeah im doing good how is everything there? Has the craziness settled a bit since the wedding? It sounded like fun. My mouth is good. It will be better any day now. Dont worry about it im fine.
Flying to big island was so fun. The airport is outside so you get off and walk down stairs on the run way just like the old days. The whole thing is outside just like 8 tiki huts so its weird and very small but its so cool. Thats the island with the active volcano on it so you can see it smoking and there are the rocks that are dried lava everywhere. You can see right where it ran down the huge mountain. Its a super cool place. So ya i already told you we missed our plane so we got on the next one and had to be picked up by the AP's at the airport which was nerve racking but i became way good friends with two of them and actually they flew to maui on wednesday to go on splits with me because we became good enough friends. That was way cool and im glad i got to do that. So anyway after the aps got us we drove to the Kona Temple which is right next to the stake center there. Its a really small temple but beautiful. Unlike any temple i have ever seen. I have pics but ill send them next week. We took pictures in front and then went in to hear elder pearson talk to us. That was good, it was one of the most like motivating influetial talks i have ever been given. It was way good, It also went all day so we didnt even get home until like 9 that night but president bought the entire maui zone burgers at burger king so it was worth it. He is a way cool guy. So ya we didnt go in the temple but i was at it. Very awesome experience.
Everyone were teaching is going good. They wont come to church ever but they are progressing with building testimonies. Were going to try some new approaches this week with Ian and ryan and if they are butt heads about it then were dropping them. Last week was a rough lesson so ya were not sure what to do with them. We will figure it out though. That lady patricia i told you about fell and broke her arm so she couldnt come to church but she will be baptized in june. Same with that family i told you about so there is 4 baptisms that will be done this month. Thats good.
We hit vision 100 today actually. President called and we got it so thanks for all the praying and everything you guys did to help us achieve that. We couldnt have done it with out all of your help. Now were going on to june so we gotta keep the faith that we will reach it again.
I miss home less and less each day. I mean i still miss it but its not constantly on my mind anymore. Im not sure if thats good or bad but i think its good.....
Today were going to a tongan memmorial day party at the lahaina beach park. That will be way fun because were all going, including foley. He is just like a huge fijian older missionary who i love haha.
Well have fun in colorado this next week. Drive and fly safe and hopefully you can email me from there. Let me know how everything is. Thanks for all you guys do and ill send pics next week. Love you tons

Making real flower leis for Maui high school graduation

Kole in a lava lava

Hey,

Yeah im doing good. My mouth is getting better and this week was pretty good. Elder Tiakia had a baptism and so we went to that on saturday. THose are always fun. It was graduation week for all the highschools on Maui so it was crazy. The excitement in the place can be felt even when your not part of it. Its kinda weird. But we went to foleys house and made Lei's for one of there friends kids forever. It was so fun. I sent pictures of it. Probably one of the funnest nights i have had on my mission. We made a ton of them out of like real flowers so yes i know how to do that now. Ill teach you when i get home. The pictures are cool.

We actually started teaching all of those fijians so im way excited about that. I love hanging out with them. I cant wait to bring you guys back here to go to there house. No that lady didnt commit to baptism i asked her three times and she just kept like studdering so we dropped her and her son as investagators. They were not progressing at all. Ian and Ryan are actually really starting to progress towards a testimony, so im way excited. They dont try to bash we just answer questions now and they try and learn. Its a good experience to teach them because of how differerent it is from the normal lessons. Tough but good. We have a new investagator named tom. We recited the joseph smith first vision and he was crying so im pretty sure he is solid. We will see though. Yeah the package was awesome, Everyone thought it was so funny so thanks. I wrote a letter about more so i wont go into detail here. The oreos were amazing though. THanks a ton. Thats good about BKATT and Lando. Ill pray hard for him. Nothin else really exciting happend This week though.

I do have a cool story though. So we have a ward list and we go through it to see who we need to go visit blah blah you know just a tool for us to use. Well from like week 3 i saw this guy on there named John Kanahuna. I kept thinking we need to go see that guy but he lived in a hospital and he is 92 years old so i just kept putting it off. On like thursday though we were by the hospital and i thought of his name so i just drove there and my comp was like irritated saying he doesnt need us to see him but i just ignored him and kept going. SO anyway the hospital was built in like 1935 and its way old. WW2 guys came there if they were injured in japan and its really scary looking. BUt we walked in and found the guy. He just started balling saying he had been praying for years that the Elders would come visit him in the hospital and all he needed was a blessing so i blessed him, talked with him for a while and we left. IT was one of the coolest experiences ever. IM glad we went to visit him though.

Were getting close here with a few people to baptism actually. Hopefully this week we will get some commitments. Every day gets a little better. Espescially now that i know what a full transfer is like it makes it easier for some reason. Im actually starting to enjoy it. I miss home but its getting fun. So ya thats my week. have fun at the wedding it will all be fine im sure.Yeah everything is goin well. I wish you could come here with me for a week to. I was thinking that the last like 2 weeks of our missions they should allow the dads to be our companions and just do missionary work until we go home. How cool would that be. Glad everyone else is good as well. SO we fly to big island at 730 tomrrow. Land in Oahu at like 750 and then on the Kona. Were going to the Kona temple and someone from the general authorites is coming to talk to us. I gotta write a talk tonight on how im being an effective missionary. Its gonna be so cool i think IM way excited. We come back tomorrow night though at like 9 so its an all day event. Super cool though.

Well let me know how the wedding goes. Love you all

1st Baptism for CeCe!
Kole, Foley, CeCe, Elder Austin

"Fresh coconut water is nasty!" -kole
Hey,
Ya im doing pretty good. My mouth is sorta better and im hoping to never go to the dentist again. Saturday was a way good day. One of the best so far. We had 11 non members there including the crazy lady i told merc about and when investagators see baptisms it increases the percentage of them getting baptized by 80 percent so im excited. Yesterday was the confirmation. Foley was scared so he didnt do it and her friend in the ward did but i was in the circle and it was a good experience. Foley was crying like a baby and if you knew him like i know him you would never expect it. Way cool. He tried to cover it though and just left the room right after haha. There was a party after and hawaiian partys are the best i decided. Everyone just brings food so there was so much. You dont have to call people to bring anything its just like expected so its way less stress on the people having it at there house. Basically the whole ward was there so it was way fun.
Ryan and Ian are ok. Ian didnt show up but the lesson we had was one of the worst ones i have ever been in. They truly are not trying to argue. Ryan prayed about the book of mormon but didnt feel anything he said.... So we cant do much more except have him try it again. He has read the whole dang book and just has 6 million questions about it that i have no idea. He is hanging out with us today and i have become way good friends with him.
Everyone else we are teaching is good. Remember Lori and Tyler? Well on like tuesday night we went to visit them. Tyler stepped out to take a phone call but came back like 5 minutes later and said "girls man" so i assumed it was his girlfriend. We hung out with them for like 30 minutes more and went back to our house. When we got back we got a call from him and he said that we must be praying really hard because his girlfriend just broke up with him so he could live the law of chastity now. We had been praying hard and told him we had prayed for him to find a way to live those things and it made sense to him so were making definite progress with him now. T and Cliff fell off the map for a while but we taught them on tuesday and thursday. They have a 16 year old son that just moved back in with them so were teaching him. He has had a rough life. T told us that if he got baptized she would for sure. She wants to right now but she said she wont leave any of her family behind so pray for Jaylin that he will be accepting to the gospel. That would be so cool if we could baptize the last 3 of there family. Thats about it for this week. I ran into the craziest man i have ever met but its to long to type so ill just do it another time. Remind me to tell you about Karate man down the road haha.
Last night were the transfer calls, i didnt realize that the people going to the airport possibly were not the only ones getting transferred so i was worried again. So the ZL's called and said i was getting transferred and hung up and i was shocked. Elder Davis called back like 3 minutes later just laughing his head off and said just kidding only elder call is going so it was a rough 3 minutes but a definite good prank. Im glad he knows i can handle those things haha. Today were going to the maui aquarium. We got free tickets so we might as well go use them. Next week were going golfing for free also. We have a part member family whose husband is the golf pro at the country club so i have been working on it for weeks and he finally invited us. My comp doesnt wanna go though so it will be me and elder davis. That will be so fun.
Thats sad about Aunt Lorriane. I didnt know she was dead until this morning. Tell uncle benny im sorry.
Well thanks for everything. Sorry about the dentist. Love you all.
